in-crease-de-crease is a line of dresses made of fine tulle. The central one is white and follows the proportions of a person and against a white wall, becomes confused with its own shadow, while the outer ones get progressively larger or smaller on either side and gradually increase in colour to blue and red. These extremes become strange distortions of the middle one. We can perceive ourselves to be the centre of the space we occupy – the physical space of our bodies, and also of the invisible territory outside of our bodies that we claim to be ours. The borderline between the self and the non-self is ever shifting and adaptive to different situations, made up of layers.
